Dear Parents / Guardians, Walthamstow Wetlands is opening to the public on Friday 20th October. Just 15 minutes from central London, you will find a unique haven to explore, enjoy and connect with your better nature. We have decided to focus this trip on our nursery classes and to the newly opened Walthamstow Wetlands during the Half-Term Holidays. The main entrance to Walthamstow Wetlands is 2 Forest Road, London N17 9NH. The philosophy of this trip is to connect children with nature as this is part of our Islamic heritage and students are currently focusing on lesson 'Allah, The Creator' - the Qur'an states, "As for the earth, We have spread it out, and cast on it firm hills, and caused to grow therein every kind of delightful things, as a source of vision and as a lesson to every servant (of Allah) who turns (to Him for guidance)" (Qur'an 50:7-8). There are 3 activity sessions to choose from:
(For more information on each please see the ticket link below) If you would like to attend alongside your nursery school (5 years and under) child/ren please book your tickets directly from the link given below. Parents / guardians must attend with their child/ren and will be responsible throughout the sessions. This will be a great opportunity for our students to build relationships outside of the classroom space; parents to get to know each other and most importantly for students to understand their lesson 'Allah, the Creator' in its natural environment. For more information on Walthamstow Wetlands and how to get there please visit the website. Ustadha Zahida Ahmed will be present for all the activity sessions Wassalaam,
Warmest regards, Hamid Mahmood
