TEACHER / JURIST-CONSULT FOR FEP
When I met Shaykh Hamid, I saw a man who had a sincere worry for the young Muslims of today. After spending some time with him I quickly learnt that the challenge was great and the journey was not going to be easy.
Over the last four years I have seen teachers and students give their 100% towards this one cause; showing the youth the beauty of Islam and allowing them to realise that true freedom and liberation is in dedicating your life to Allah and following his Messenger Peace be Upon Him, and anything that exists of this world is nothing more than amusement and play.
FEP was initially a place I enrolled my children four years ago. When I saw that the admin Team were thin on the ground i asked Ustadh Hamid if I could help. So that where my journey started! I love coming to the office and being part of a great team and family! All the staff are like my family and Ustadh Hamid has made my experience of being an integral part of the team amazing. There is so much support to develop and no topic of discussion is Taboo!
I love the atmosphere and am so happy that FEP found me and my children.
AL-'ALIMIYYAH, BSC, PGCE
It is a privilege to be a part of FEP which allows students to develop their critical thinking by exploring subjects that are often shun away at home or in society. During CPD training we are given the opportunity to reflect upon our own practice and to share our ideas within the team. This gives us the opportunity to always develop ourselves and to ensure that we are facilitating our students in the best way possible.

FEP is everything I wanted as a Parent and Teacher in an environment. I loved the vision.
It's a happy place to be where staff morale is high and students are happy mashallah. It nurtures teaching and learning in creative ways and allows for exploration and discovery without compromising core Islamic values.
FEP is a family where we can share food, love for the sake of Allah and happy times that make memories.
An outstanding Phrontistery without the Ofsted stamp; now that, mashallah, … is priceless.
MENG CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, AL'ALIMIYYAH STUDENT
My first encounter with FEP was where they reached out to my university’s Islamic Society asking for help with running a few events to raise funds for charity. I was really surprised by the initiative and eagerness shown by some of the students in trying to come up with creative ways to raise money for children less fortunate than them and thought that it was a credit to the amazing teachers, parents and (of course) Ustadh Hamid for creating an environment that facilitated such wholesome tarbiyyah (Islamic development).
Aside from the unique environment of learning at FEP, I’ve been impressed by our dynamism and willingness to address topics that aren’t typically within the syllabus of the average madrasah as well as the fact that no idea is too wacky or outside the box. This approach is really important as we try our best to ingrain the love of Islam into the hearts of the next generation. We ask for your du’as as we work towards this aim!
AL'ALIMIYAH, BCS (HONS)
I joined FEP 2 years ago after hearing about it’s outstanding work in facilitating the growth of children in order for them to have a well rounded Islamic worldview. It’s beautiful to witness every teacher instilling the love for Islam in the hearts of students.
I am extremely grateful to be a part of FEP and I pray Allah continues to take this Madrasa from strength to strength.
I was introduced to FEP by my son who worked there. He would come home and tell me how wonderful it was to work at FEP and I would be fascinated.
I discovered this for myself when I joined as a volunteer and then eventually as an employee.
I feel extremely lucky and happy to be working at FEP. It has enriched my life and broadened my horizons in many ways.
Staff and students alike make working here all the more enjoyable. I am always learning and sharing my knowledge. I feel valued and appreciated by the headteacher.
Having joined FEP almost 1 year ago, I absolutely love the atmosphere and environment that has been created by the staff as well as the students.
One of the main points highlighted by Ustadh Hamid and is important at FEP is making the experience and the time the students spent at FEP unforgettable.
It provides a place where students can relax and enjoy learning about the deen in a fun and interactive way!
Our goal is to instil the love of Islam into their hearts.
I am grateful and privileged to be a part of such a wonderful family. I must say that it is FEPtastic!
Working at FEP has been a wonderful experience Alhamdulillah. Teaching the book of Allah and his noble religion to the younger generation is an honour, and FEP makes it an enjoyable experience for all. Not only do the students gain invaluable insight into the deen, but they also relish coming to madrassah every week!
I ask Allah to accept the efforts of both the teachers and students into making FEP the haven of learning it has become and to bestow his blessings on this madrassah, ameen.

I have been teaching here since May 2017 and from the time I have spent here I can whole-heartedly say that FEP is unparalleled in the teaching it provides. FEP uses a holistic method of teaching to ensure that children are not only provided with comprehensive Islamic knowledge, but it facilitates an environment in which they are able to grow as independent minds. Alhamdulillah. I feel honoured to witness FEP foster a true love for the deen in the hearts of so many children. The staff are brilliant, and it is wonderful teaching alongside such forward-thinking Muslims striving to ensure the future generations have the knowledge, skills and character to succeed.

I'm afraid I don't or won't have the words to explain what Fatima Elizabeth Phrontistery (formally Fatimah Elizabeth Cates Academy) means to me.
I feel so corny writing this but it's true, so must be said.
FEP holds a very special place in my heart.
Though the Madrasah's 'clientele' are students, I, as an adult have learnt and continue to learn so much by being a part of this wonderful organisation.
For me, FEP is more than just a Madrasah, more than just a school, more than just a place of work.
It is a home. It is a family.
It is a place where I have grown as person, a place where my mindset has been challenged & broadened.
I first heard about Fatima Elizabeth before it had opened it's doors. I had heard that a new kind of Madressah was coming to town and even more exciting, my end of town!
I had also happened to see a few flyers in the area & was intrigued by the name.
I made contact with Ustadh Hamid regarding the enrollment of my three children but before I knew it, I had enrolled myself too!
I started volunteering as SEN support from day 1 and have never looked back.
No other place has had as much of an impact on me or my family than FEP.
Before the children joined, their conversations would usually revolve around superheroes & the like BUT within a few sessions of 'FEP' the conversations had turned to Islam and Prophets & the right or wrong way to go about things.
It's been nearly 5 years since those early days of Dec 2014 and I can truly say, hand on heart, I have loved every minute.
I happily & wholeheartedly recommend FEP to all I encounter and pray that they and their families can also experience the benefits & joys that I have.
I had heard so many great things about FEP and many people said I should work with the organisation as the ethics coincide with Kaydeena, creating a foundation of warmth and openness whilst students learn at the same time. When I had the opportunity of enrolling my children earlier this year, I also had the privilege of getting to know Ustadh Hamid. It was then that we decided to roll out the Kaydeena Pre School. FEP is a really happy environment, which you sense as soon as you walk in. It doesn’t discriminate or judge and there’s a lovely air of healthy learning from the children. BUT it’s much greater than just a learning space and that’s what makes it such a distinctive place to be in. Ustadh Hamid is a great leader and pillar of strength to the team, scouting out brilliant staff and continually providing CPD to benefit both the school and his team. Why wouldn’t anyone want to work here! : )
I joined FEP during March of 2019 and have greatly enjoyed the experience. The institution provides an environment in which students can comfortably learn, as well as one in which students can openly express their views. FEP doesn’t just serve as a madrasah, but moreover as a hub where students can gather and really feel at home amongst the staff and their peers.
I feel honoured to be a part of such a credible organisation and look forward to many more exciting ventures under FEP.
FEP provides an outstanding environment that nurtures our students in their academic, personal and most importantly spiritual development. The FEP family allows each individual the space to grow with all the support you could need. Working at FEP has felt more rewarding and enjoyable than I could’ve imagined!
I have been with FEP for a year now. I first heard of FEP through my niece and nephews children attending weekend school and was fascinated by what they were learning and the projects they were involved in/presenting.
I once recall my niece, Nosheena telling me that FEP was busy, so I offered my assistance and joined the team. My niece didn't hesitate and sent me an application straight away. This is where my journey with FEP started and I never looked back as I absolutely love working with the children.
AL'ALIMIYYAH GRADUATE, BA HISTORY
Working at FEP has been an absolute pleasure. Our approach to teaching differs from most maddressas/schools as we aim to instil a love for Islam into our students through fun and creative activities. Our aim is to create young muslims who are firm in their faith and able to use it to bring a positive change to their communities In’Sha’Allah!
AL-'ALIMIYYAH, BSC (HONS) OPTOMETRY STUDENT
I started working at FEP in 2018 and have since been very grateful to be part of a madrasah that holds such strong values and aims to make every child feel cherished and valued.
Our unique approach encourages our children to think outside of the box which ensures that they enjoy learning about the deen in a fun and interactive manner.
Instilling the love of Islam into the hearts of our youth alongside an amazing team is such a beautiful feeling and I pray that we continue to flourish year after year inshaAllah!
I originally joined FEP as a volunteer when I enrolled my children to study here 4 years ago. I am truly blessed to have found a workplace where learning to recite the Quran and learning about our beautiful deen is so fun and engaging. I am also very honoured to be able to work with all the amazing teachers at FEP. I pray FEP continues to grow in its success and endeavours to teach Islam to our children ameen.
After hearing amazing reviews from various people about the atmosphere and work ethics at FEP, I knew I had to join and see it for myself! Alhamdulillah a beautiful place to work.
My journey began five years ago, when FEP first started. Alhamdulillah I was fortunate enough to teach both the first Saturday and Sunday classes. Since then, I have watched FEP expand and flourish and have not looked back since. It has now become one of the best experiences of my life. I had no intention of working at the time but on collecting my nieces and nephews on their first day, my heart was instantly attached! I have learned and experienced so much from being here and pray that it continues to grow insha’ Allah.
Working in the accounts and payroll team over the years at FEP has been a positively fulfilling journey. FEP has seen staggering growth and by providing a joyous and nurturing environment, it continues to expand. Witnessing students comfortably pushing their boundaries to the best of their abilities with the immaculate support from staff makes me feel extremely proud to be part of the FEP family!

I was introduced to FEC by a friend and heard great things about the institution.
I’ve been here for nearly a year now, and I can say I have learnt a lot from both teachers and even students.
I enjoy working with kids as they bring joy and happiness. Working with FEC has given me the opportunity to give back to the younger generation.
Insh’Allah, FEC continues to deliver such great service and has many more years of success Insh’Allah
Studied at FEP and loved the environment and wanted to be a part of it if not studying then working here.

Fatima Elizabeth is a wonderful workplace. I am so fortunate to be part of an amazing team where you are able to grow both professionally and academically, at the same time developing new ideas.
At FEP constant effort is made to improve and enhance children’s Islamic education alongside their Tarbiyah, a perfect balance which is extremely difficult to achieve in such challenging times.
BSC, MRCSLT, HCPC
As a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, working in a school within the SEN department, Shaykh Hamid reached out to me as the cohort of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at the madressah was growing steadily. Alhamdulillah, We've been able to support parents and students with SEN as they learn about Islam as the department continues to grow. The ethos at FEP is one of harbouring love for Islam in a nuturing, creative environment and I feel blessed to be able to serve our Deen in this way.
Alhamdulillah FEC is on a mission to bring people back on track on their journey towards Allah SWT
Just as a charity focuses on the extremely poor people in the most rural areas, FEC focuses on those on the verge of losing their faith, empowering them with the knowledge and mindset to understand current affairs from an islamic perspective, and developing those already doing well into future leaders of the Ummah
I pray that Allah SWT accept our efforts and forgives our shortcomings
I joined FEP in 2018 after hearing about its unique atmosphere that Ustaadh Hamid and all the staff have helped to create. After being part of the FEP family for sometime, I can definitely say it has been a pleasure to be a part of such a nurturing school - one in which the happiness of the children is put at the forefront of all our work. I feel privileged to be part of a space that is comfortable for teachers and students and most importantly, that focuses on helping the children develop a deep connection with Islam.
After covering a class at FEP I immediately took an interest in the unique learning environment created by the teachers and staff and joined permanently as a TA. Working in an environment that allows students to grow and learn spiritually and intellectually whilst enjoying themselves is a privilege.
I absolutely love working at FEP! FEP is a much needed phrontistery for children and young adults during the challenging times youngsters are in. I originally started as a volunteer when my son joined the Madrasah but was so impressed by the level of teaching and the genuine care and time put into lessons I decided to register my daughter too! I am passionate about teaching at FEP as its focus is nurturing through education and this is at the heart of everything we do.
I believe in providing children with a strong foundation upon which they will adopt beautiful manners and sound conduct whilst learning Qa'idah, Qur'an and Islamic Studies in an enjoyable environment which encourages questions and philosophical thinking. FEP has provided me with the opportunity to fulfil this as well as developing and improving on my own teaching skills through training we are provided as well as learning from other staff members. I feel extremely blessed to be part of this innovative Madrasah, which most definitely is the first of its kind.
I joined Fatima Elizabeth after completing the Alimiyyah course in 2018. I had heard many great things about the way the teachers aim to make the study of Islam and Arabic both fun and engaging so that students leave with a holistic Islamic worldview. When the vacancy to become a TA at Fatima Elizabeth presented itself I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this innovative Madrasa. The staff have been incredibly friendly and welcoming and the students are a pleasure to teach.
BSC (HONS), MASTERS, AL'ALIMIYYAH
I joined FEP in 2016 to be a part of the institution that fosters growth and thinking for the youth. I wanted to work with the team that is facilitating the transition of Islamic institutions into something better!
I am honoured to be a part of FEP and thoroughly enjoy working with the wonderful staff and students here. Working with them has served to be a worthy learning experience for me.
MSC, PGCERT, PGDIP,
FEP is a pioneering and innovative madrasah with a highly dynamic and spirited environment, where teachers and students both share a learning space with a clear vision and purpose. It is my utmost pleasure being a part of this groundbreaking and ever-growing phrontistery, lead by a principal who aims to nurture the Islamic worldview of young muslims growing today
I joined FEP as I was looking for a work environment where every type of learner is welcomed. The teachers are constantly trying to support every child in their classes and there is excellent teamwork amongst the staff at FEP, allowing for amazing lessons to be delivered to the students.
I am very happy working at FEP and love to see all the children that come in each week, excited and intrigued to learn something new.
I joined Fatima Elizabeth Phrontistery as I saw it a place which strives to create a sincere love and passion for Islam in the hearts and minds of the students.

I am very blessed to be part of FEP. I started my journey with FEP when my son joined 4 years ago. From the lens of a parent helper, volunteer (mentoring the volunteers) teacher and now SEN facilitator. Since then I have witnessed the challenges, the growth, the passion and effort FEP team put into creating a loving environment for both the children and parents.
I find it very empowering especially when Ustadh Hamid inspires me and motivates all the FEP staff to teach Islam in a very organic, holistic, exploring and fun way.
I am very excited and looking forward to FEP's journey ahead. May Allah SWT keep us all united, accept Ustadh Hamid's duas and dreams for FEP. Ameen.
When I enrolled my children at FEP I was impressed at the way the FEP ran the madressa like a school. My children enjoyed learning about Islam in the way it was taught. It gave me inspiration to want to be a part of this institute. I am happy to be part of this amazing family. It makes me feel so good to do Allah’s work, in an environment where the children enjoy learning about our deen.
