AL-'ALIMIYYAH When I met Shaykh Hamid, I saw a man who had a sincere worry for the young Muslims of today. After spending some time with him I quickly learnt that the challenge was great and the journey was not going to be easy. Over the last four years I have seen teachers and students give their 100% towards this one cause; showing the youth the beauty of Islam and allowing them to realise that true freedom and liberation is in dedicating your life to Allah and following His Messenger Peace be Upon Him, and anything that exists of this world is nothing more than amusement and play. FEP was initially a place I enrolled my children four years ago. When I saw that the admin Team were thin on the ground i asked Ustadh Hamid if I could help. So that where my journey started! I love coming to the office and being part of a great team and family! All the staff are like my family and Ustadh Hamid has made my experience of being an integral part of the team amazing. There is so much support to develop and no topic of discussion is Taboo! I love the atmosphere and am so happy that FEP found me and my children. Sofia MahmoodTEACHER
AL-'ALIMIYYAH, BSC, PGCE It is a privilege to be a part of FEP which allows students to develop their critical thinking by exploring subjects that are often shun away at home or in society. During CPD training we are given the opportunity to reflect upon our own practice and to share our ideas within the team. This gives us the opportunity to always develop ourselves and to ensure that we are facilitating our students in the best way possible. Shahid HussainShazia KamranTEACHER

BA (HONS), PGCE, MASTERS, AL-'ALIMIYYAH FEP is everything I wanted as a Parent and Teacher in an environment. I loved the vision. It's a happy place to be where staff morale is high and students are happy mashallah. It nurtures teaching and learning in creative ways and allows for exploration and discovery without compromising core Islamic values. FEP is a family where we can share food, love for the sake of Allah and happy times that make memories. An outstanding Phrontistery without the Ofsted stamp; now that, mashallah, … is priceless. MENG CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, AL'ALIMIYYAH STUDENT My first encounter with FEP was where they reached out to my university’s Islamic Society asking for help with running a few events to raise funds for charity. I was really surprised by the initiative and eagerness shown by some of the students in trying to come up with creative ways to raise money for children less fortunate than them and thought that it was a credit to the amazing teachers, parents and (of course) Ustadh Hamid for creating an environment that facilitated such wholesome tarbiyyah (Islamic development). Aside from the unique environment of learning at FEP, I’ve been impressed by our dynamism and willingness to address topics that aren’t typically within the syllabus of the average madrasah as well as the fact that no idea is too wacky or outside the box. This approach is really important as we try our best to ingrain the love of Islam into the hearts of the next generation. We ask for your du’as as we work towards this aim! Aysha BadatTEACHER

I was introduced to FEP by my son who worked there. He would come home and tell me how wonderful it was to work at FEP and I would be fascinated. I discovered this for myself when I joined as a volunteer and then eventually as an employee. I feel extremely lucky and happy to be working at FEP. It has enriched my life and broadened my horizons in many ways. Staff and students alike make working here all the more enjoyable. I am always learning and sharing my knowledge. Having joined FEP almost 1 year ago, I absolutely love the atmosphere and environment that has been created by the staff as well as the students. One of the main points highlighted by Ustadh Hamid and is important at FEP is making the experience and the time the students spent at FEP unforgettable. It provides a place where students can relax and enjoy learning about the deen in a fun and interactive way! Our goal is to instil the love of Islam into their hearts. I am grateful and privileged to be a part of such a wonderful family. I must say that it is FEPtastic! Musa MuftiTEACHING ASSISTANT
Working at FEP has been a wonderful experience Alhamdulillah. Teaching the book of Allah and his noble religion to the younger generation is an honour, and FEP makes it an enjoyable experience for all. Not only do the students gain invaluable insight into the deen, but they also relish coming to madrassah every week! I ask Allah to accept the efforts of both the teachers and students into making FEP the haven of learning it has become and to bestow his blessings on this madrassah, ameen. MPHARM STUDENT I have been teaching here since May 2017 and from the time I have spent here I can whole-heartedly say that FEP is unparalleled in the teaching it provides. FEP uses a holistic method of teaching to ensure that children are not only provided with comprehensive Islamic knowledge, but it facilitates an environment in which they are able to grow as independent minds. Alhamdulillah. I feel honoured to witness FEP foster a true love for the deen in the hearts of so many children. LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN SPECIALIST SUPPORT FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING IN SCHOOLS SPECIAL NEEDS ASSISTANT LEVEL 3 CHILDCARE & EDUCATION NVQ LEVEL 2 I'm afraid I don't or won't have the words to explain what Fatima Elizabeth Phrontistery (formally Fatimah Elizabeth Cates Academy) means to me. I feel so corny writing this but it's true, so must be said. FEP holds a very special place in my heart. Though the Madrasah's 'clientele' are students, I, as an adult have learnt and continue to learn so much by being a part of this wonderful organisation. For me, FEP is more than just a Madrasah, more than just a school, more than just a place of work. It is a home. It is a family. It is a place where I have grown as a person, a place where my mindset has been challenged & broadened. I first heard about Fatima Elizabeth before it had opened it's doors. I had heard that a new kind of Madressah was coming to town and even more exciting, my end of town! I had also happened to see a few flyers in the area & was intrigued by the name. I made contact with Ustadh Hamid regarding the enrollment of my three children but before I knew it, I had enrolled myself too! I started volunteering as SEN support from day 1 and have never looked back. No other place has had as much of an impact on me or my family than FEP. Before the children joined, their conversations would usually revolve around superheroes & the like BUT within a few sessions of 'FEP' the conversations had turned to Islam and Prophets & the right or wrong way to go about things. It's been nearly 5 years since those early days of Dec 2014 and I can truly say, hand on heart, I have loved every minute. I happily & wholeheartedly recommend FEP to all I encounter and pray that they and their families can also experience the benefits & joys that I have. Talha SaminLOGISTICS OFFICER
TEACHING ASSISTANT I joined FEP during March of 2019 and have greatly enjoyed the experience. The institution provides an environment in which students can comfortably learn, as well as one in which students can openly express their views. FEP doesn’t just serve as a madrasah, but moreover as a hub where students can gather and really feel at home amongst the staff and their peers. I feel honoured to be a part of such a credible organisation and look forward to many more exciting ventures under FEP. Tahmina BegumTEACHER

I have been with FEP for a year now. I first heard of FEP through my niece and nephews children attending weekend school and was fascinated by what they were learning and the projects they were involved in/presenting. I once recall my niece, Nosheena telling me that FEP was busy, so I offered my assistance and joined the team. My niece didn't hesitate and sent me an application straight away. This is where my journey with FEP started and I never looked back as I absolutely love working with the children. Sumayyah PatelTEACHER

I absolutely love working at FEP! FEP is a much needed phrontistery for children and young adults during the challenging times youngsters are in. I originally started as a volunteer when my son joined the Madrasah but was so impressed by the level of teaching and the genuine care and time put into lessons I decided to register my daughter too! I am passionate about teaching at FEP as its focus is nurturing through education and this is at the heart of everything we do. I believe in providing children with a strong foundation upon which they will adopt beautiful manners and sound conduct whilst learning Qa'idah, Qur'an and Islamic Studies in an enjoyable environment which encourages questions and philosophical thinking. FEP has provided me with the opportunity to fulfil this as well as developing and improving on my own teaching skills through training we are provided as well as learning from other staff members. I feel extremely blessed to be part of this innovative Madrasah, which most definitely is the first of its kind. Hafsah NoorTEACHER
