FEC football team. Can include teachers if they wish. Gives a chance for everyone to get

involved

Competitions/ Ramadhan competitions between classes… sports related?
Student teacher day. Where students plan the Islamic studies lesson and deliver them as

well. Could be taught by the Shura members themselves or anyone who wishes to do so.

Trip to Southend in the summer holidays
‘Bring in your pet day’… maybe for the older classes.

Implemented:

Ramadhan competition Qaidathon which is within the class. Students get the chance to win

a medal with their name on.

I think it's great that students have opportunities like planning Islamic studies lessons and participating in competitions.

FEC Student Shura

We will soon be trialling a dynamic student shura (council). The idea behind this is to get students involved in the decision making, progress, reforms and overall changes in their madrasah. Following is a brief summary of the structure of the student shura (SS):
Two students to be chosen from each class (boy and girl), how they are to be chosen will be decided by the class
This Student Shura will only remain functional for a total of 6 weeks, and on the 7th week provide us with a report of changes they have made individually or collectively or any meaningful impact they have had on the madrasah
The Student Shura’s report will be published online on a dedicated ‘Students Shura’ page of our website.
Following this every class will decide the next two representatives for the next 6 weeks and this way more students get to participate and make a real difference – insha-Allah
