Suggestions:
  •  FEC football team. Can include teachers if they wish. Gives a chance for everyone to get
involved
  • Competitions/ Ramadhan competitions between classes… sports related?
  • Student teacher day. Where students plan the Islamic studies lesson and deliver them as
well. Could be taught by the Shura members themselves or anyone who wishes to do so.
  • Trip to Southend in the summer holidays
  • ‘Bring in your pet day’… maybe for the older classes.

  • Ramadhan competition Qaidathon which is within the class. Students get the chance to win

• Islamic Bake off
Students and teachers bring something. Different competitions. Taste test and rank it to determine a winner. Can take place during break and lunch to avoid disrupting lesson time
• Cycling race/games around playground during lunch
Bring bikes in (FECycle to madressa). Have bike based activities.
• Children in need fundraiser… Islamic relief. Such as baking and sending to charity.
• After Madressa club. Football? Stories of the prophet? It can be run by the teachers
• A whole Madressa assembly where students from all classes can prepare a project and present it
• Arts and crafts day

• Charity week. The Madressa takes part to raise money in various ways. This year FEC raised an astounding £4042.30 #cw2018
• Cycling activities in the playground led by PE co-ordinators

• Every month there should a whole madrasah assembly
• Touched on previously that classes could merge together, maybe older class could get to know the younger class and help them with memorisation and Qaida
• Fun trips which could include going to a theme park, Southend, paintballing etc. Potentially could take place at the end of the madrasah year?
• More debate and discussion like lessons … NO MORE BREXIT
• A variety of different projects like dragons’ den which was done previously. And competitions which could include a prize thus motivating students. When? During Islamic studies sessions maybe relating to what the students are learning
• Older class would like the chance to go offsite for lunch. Maybe a teacher could accompany them?
• Tuck shop at break and lunch which could include chicken and chips (also mentioned by Saturday Shura members).

• At lunch on the football pitch, younger children such as Piri Reis should be allowed to play with the older class.

- Longer break times (Nana Asmu) -Depending on the points on how they behave in class they gain more break time. Dojo Points (house points)- helps with controlling behaviour as well.
- Activities to do with a arts and crafts
- Clock outside so everyone knows when break time finishes.
- Tuck shop with healthy snacks etc
- Sports Day
- Cooking day (experiencing how Muslims used to cook back in the days)
- Teacher of the Year Awarded (elected by the students)
- Break time bell
- End of year assembly (awards distributed to students)
- More prayer mats
- Silence Sign outside doors (when classes are praying
- Introduce 5 Rules in each class which they all agree

  • Trips that coincide with what students are learning during Islamic studies. For example, if they are learning about funerals/janazahs then students could have a trip to a graveyard  
    When? The week after that lesson or after FEC that day 
  • Naseeha sessions within the classes 
    Classes could be split up into groups and every month one person from each group will present something such as a talk/lecture, a nasheed, poetry, recitations etc  
  • Classes can merge and do activities together  
    Maybe once every month or every two months

  • Encourage healthier eating 
    Students are bringing fizzy drinks for lunch and break

  • Prophets project where students present their projects on their chosen prophet

  • Stalls- Run by FEC Shura only baking (money would go towards) during the funfair.
  • After Maktab club- wooden sword fighting or archery etc more practical activities

Concerns
  • Short break in lesson should be outside as well because boys are running in class other students are not happy with it and it can be dangerous (class Zheng He)

Concerns
1.       behaviour problems, students are being rude teachers and students (kemulahayti)
2.       mansa Musa- bringing in toys and taking out at learning- distraction for others. Reminders given in class at the beginning
3.       fight in playground due to fortnite: Ban Fortnite? Disagreements on whether we should ban it on its objectives? such as; promotes violence, ethics or morality, upset some children or effected by not winning, it can easily be hacked by other people (health and safety), MOMO threat. (Banned for now unless reason given to usthad hamid why it should be played).
