The Ottoman 'Have-a-Go' Archery Sessions in the final week of 2021

This is your chance to have a go at 'Ottoman Archery' with Ustadh Hamid, this involves thumb shooting as opposed to the Mediterranean draw. Our Have-a-Go Ottoman Archery lessons are relaxed and a lot of fun. They are suitable for complete beginners, and families are welcome to book together.

The session lasts for 1.5hrs (you'll get at least an hour of fairly free shooting) and the price includes tuition, equipment hire and insurance. We usually take up to 12 people per instructor (often only 7 or 8 per instructor). The sessions are fun and easy-going. Most importantly we will get you shooting safely and (relatively!) accurately by the end of the 1.5hrs.

We'll introduce you to some expressions used in Ottoman archery and we'll finish by teaching you how to score and hosting a mini-competition if all archers agree. Lastly, as per the Islamico-Ottoman tradition the archers will experience congregational partition on the range.

Our session is open to all genders, with ages starting from age 9 and above.
