Dr Shoaib Malik

Dr. Shoaib is from Pakistani heritage but was born and raised in Kuwait. He went to the UK for his studies in Chemical Engineering. He topped his batch and graduated with honours in his undergraduate program at the University of Bath in 2010. Afterwards he was awarded a fully funded PhD Scholarship in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham which he completed in 2015. On completing his scientific studies, Dr. Shoaib decided to pursue further studies in Islamic theology and philosophy. He temporarily studied under Avicenna Academy where he obtained ijaazahs in hadith and aqeedah and is currently under the tutelage of Sh. Ali Larakhi under the Meem Institute. He is also completing his MSc of Philosophy of Science and Religion at the University of Edinburgh. He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of the Natural Sciences at Zayed University in Dubai.

Darwinian Delusions:
This is definitely the most important video on the internet regarding Islam and evolution. It is academic, balanced, comprehensive and most importantly it does not shoehorn evolution into Islam, rather it just lays out the orthodox framework that Ahlus sunnah wa Jamaah adheres to. I was really happy to see Sheik Fadel Soliman in the audience, I would have attended but was in Blackburn at the time, gutted to have missed it! may Allah bless you all for your efforts!

MashAllah this is a groundbreaking conference on one of the most controversial topics for theists. These presentations in my opinion constitute a mature well informed and well grounded response to evolution from Muslim thinkers.
