We hope you are well in health and iman inshallah.  This is an initial message to say that there will be 
  • 1. no online madrasah this weekend as we are tirelessly working on our online structure and restructuring staff ready for next weekend.  This week's fees will be adjusted next month as part of Easter Holiday lessons.
  • 2. Fees: We have decided to halve the Fees in order to make this easy for both parents and also our staff.
  • 3. The way we will move forward is to request all our parents to stay with us for the online FEP platform, which we hope will not disappoint.  
  • 4. We are saying to make this work for both Parents and FEP that to allow for April Fees to be collected and that will be the fees for the following two months. To clarify that would mean £21.75 for April and £21.75 for May.  (so first week of April the £43.50 amount that is deducted will be fees for both April and May and we will for the mean time then cancel the fees before May)
  • 5. Before June we will all have a better idea of where we stand and will restructure the fees, this will also give Staff, Students and parents the important two months to trial the online system.
The situation has been escalating fast and I am glad and thank Allah that we took the decision earlier to close and think about the way ahead.  Now, this is the second phase and more difficult one for us all.  We need to work together to get through this as a phrontistery.

Lastly, alongside the Weekend personalised classes of Islamic Studies and Tajwid, I will also be doing add on free sessions for students in general including the following:
  • 1. Fatima Elizabeth Choir x1 session with ustadha Marzuqah
  • 2. 3 days a week sessions for kids on Islamic History, Sirah, Hadith / Tafsir with Ustadh Hamid
  • 3. FEIISP : 
  • - Dr Shoaib: Science and Islam
  • - Shaykh Usman: Science and Islam (still to confirm)
  • 4. Virtual Archery Session (30 mins session a week) U. Hamid / U. Nadda for sisters
  • 5. Joining me on a virtual cycling ride (once a week) and a quick session in graveyard or nature (with ensuring safe distancing and ustadh Hamid to speak through either Youtube Live or Zoom
  • 6. Mufti Hilal:  Fiqh with Q&A session (Still to confirm)
  • 7. Ottoman History- Ustadh Yahya (The Ottoman Hajj)
  • 8. Tafsir: Ustadha Nadda  
  • 9. FE Scouts – with our Scouts Team (still to confirm structure)
  • And inshallah much more

Data Summary of FEP Coronavirus Feedback from Parents - based on 169 responses 89.9% agree with closure and 94.1% with trialling Online Platform.

I would like to thank all our parents and staff for responding and especially those for giving us detailed feedback and raising concerns and uncertainties.  Inshallah the steps we intend to make from tomorrow based on consulation with our staff and the parental feedback
  1. Created a dedicated webpage where all updates are collated together (including previous steps)
  2. We will make the detailed feedback available to parents.
  3. Our changes to transition and general response to cover all of our parents' concerns
  4. Update on Fees structure, and how we will go ahead with that.  What this will also mean for our staff
  5. The method and adaab of online learning - including all the logistics.  Our aim for online learning is based around our motto here 'To keep it simple and accessible.'

Fatima Elizabeth Phrontistery precautionary measures in light of COVID-19

Fatima Elizabeth Phrontistery is currently finalising its statement to be issued by scientists and theologians from FEIISP - our Science & Philosophy Department.  

This statement plans to outline the steps we will take and why from a scientific and hadith perspective we do not intend on waiting for the government's call for the closure of schools.

We need us all to work together inshaAllah.  

However for this weekend there is madrasah taking place, with the following in place:

● For drop-off Parents will not be entering the building but bringing children to the playground - through the green gates on the side -  where staff will take your children upto the classrooms. 

For Pickup parents will be asked to wait in the playground for their child/ren to be brought down into the playground.

We strongly urge parents not to park their cars in the carpark to avoid congestion

● Students entering the building will be required to wash hands with soap at the start of madrasah,
after break
before leaving the building
 
Tissues are available across the building. Please perform ablution and use the toilet at home. If you need to sneeze or cough do so into your elbow. 

● Anyone who is currently showing signs of fever, cough, flu or has been in contact with someone infected by COVID-19 is requested to stay at home and seek medical advice. Please do not enter the building as you will be politely asked to go home.  

● Anyone with underlying health issues, in particular the elderly and infants and those in care of them, should from now onwards, avoid all unnecessary interactions. We advice praying Dhuhr Salah at home after the madrasah.

● We will also be having short 20 minutes session on practical ways of prevention and cleanliness and its importance as part of our faith.

● In light of the current situation, we have *cancelled our trip abroad to Spain and a pre-Ramadan Bazar we had planned.

● Please look out for our FEIISP statement by this Sunday regarding closure of the madrasah and our move to an online classroom experience.  We need to work together inshaAllah and constantly remember Allah in these times.
